In short. Moving day in Agadir is won the evening before: sealed and labelled boxes, keys counted, access written down. Adom (adom.ma) and the AdomApp app (adomapp.com) connect you with an independent professional; quotes are free and you pay after the job.
What should be written on a box?
Two things: the room it belongs to and a few words on what is inside. "Kitchen, saucepans" beats "misc". Write on the side of the box, not the lid, since boxes get stacked.
Pick a simple code, such as one colour per room, and stick the same coloured dot on the matching door in the new place. The movers can then drop each box where it belongs without asking.
Pack one "first night" box with toiletries, chargers, bed linen, a few cutlery pieces and any regular medication. It is the box you open first, so mark it clearly.
Which boxes do you actually need?
Medium boxes for books, plates and anything heavy; large ones for bedding, cushions and light things. A big box stuffed with heavy items bursts at the bottom and slows everyone down on the stairs.
Pack over several days rather than one frantic evening. Go room by room, starting with what you do not use daily (decoration, books, off-season clothes). Kitchen and bathroom are sealed last.
For plates, put paper or tea towels between each one, stand glasses upright and wedge them, and fill the box to the top so nothing shifts.
What about furniture and fragile things?
Measure large pieces ahead, especially if the new staircase or lift is narrow. Note what has to come apart, what goes through whole and what stays behind. For the dismantling side, see the article on tools and screws to plan for.
Mirrors, screens and frames get wrapped in blankets or cardboard and travel upright. Name them in your request so the professional can plan the loading around them.
Are the keys and access sorted?
Count every key: front door, mailbox, cellar, garage, residence gate. One key left with the previous tenant or the caretaker can stall a whole morning.
Tell the caretaker or the building manager about both addresses and say where the van can stop. Whether you are leaving Founty, Talborjt, Hay Mohammadi or Charaf, add a line to the request about the distance between the van and the door, the floor, the steps and whether there is a lift. That avoids surprises on the day.
Agadir was rebuilt further south after the earthquake, under seismic building rules, so its buildings are recent. That tells you nothing about the lift or staircase of your own block, so describe those yourself.
What goes into the request on AdomApp?
On the moving service page, describe both addresses, the floor, any lift, the list of big items and a rough box count. The more precise you are, the easier it is to compare offers. The reference price is 2500 DH (forfait); it moves with volume and access, hence a personalised, free quote on AdomApp.

Frequently asked questions
How many boxes will I need for a flat?
There is no universal figure; it depends on what you own. Walk through each room, estimate what is going, add a margin and put the rough count in the request.
Do I pack before the professional arrives?
Yes, unless your request says otherwise. A home with sealed, labelled boxes loads much faster.
What if I lose a key just before the move?
Tell the landlord or caretaker straight away and get a spare cut before the day. A stuck lock on moving morning is hard to fix under pressure.
Should drawers and wardrobes be emptied?
Empty anything fragile or heavy. Hanging clothes can travel in garment bags if you have said so in advance.
How long until offers come in?
Usually 24 to 48 hours after your request. Payment happens after the job, and Adom connects people; it does not employ them.
