What animals does Adom take care of?
Three categories: cats, dogs, and small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, parrots and other birds). For exotic animals (reptiles, spiders), contact the Adom team to check feasibility based on the sitters available in your city.
Is my pet's vaccination mandatory?
For dogs, an up-to-date vaccination record (rabies, distemper or equivalent) is required by Adom sitters, for everyone's safety. For indoor cats, vaccination is strongly recommended but not blocking. For small pets, no specific requirement is imposed.
Can the sitter stay overnight at my home?
Yes, as an option. Overnight care (the sitter sleeps at your home or comes at extended hours) is available on a specific quote — a solution suited to anxious pets or those that can't handle being left alone for long.
How does Adom verify its pet sitters?
Every sitter goes through 3 mandatory steps: ID verification, a one-on-one interview with the Adom team, and reference verification from previous pet-sitting jobs where available. Only sitters maintaining a rating of 4.5/5 or higher stay active.
What happens in a veterinary emergency during my absence?
The sitter is instructed to contact you immediately, as well as the veterinary clinic you specified beforehand. If the owner is unreachable, they can bring the animal to the vet with your prior consent, specified in the quote. Veterinary costs remain the owner's responsibility.
Can I follow my pet during my absence?
Yes, always: Adom sitters send a daily photo or video report via WhatsApp (time of visit, the animal's condition, food given), for full visibility into the care given to your companion.
