Trusting someone with your children for an evening or for regular childcare raises one central question: safety. This checklist gathers the concrete points to check and prepare, before and during at-home childcare, for genuine peace of mind.

Before the session: profile checks

• The ID card of the person coming, verified by Adom before she appears in the results.
• A prior interview, conducted by the Adom team, covering genuine experience and availability.
• References from past families, verified directly rather than simply read on a profile.

Instructions to share before each session

• Emergency numbers: your personal number, the pediatrician's if applicable, and the contacts of nearby neighbors or relatives.
• Medical information: allergies, ongoing treatments, gestures to avoid.
• House rules: authorized access, appliances not to be used, bedtime or mealtime schedules.
• The plan for the evening or session: planned activities, the parents' expected return time, contacts in case of the unexpected.

During the session: the right reflexes

Stay reachable throughout the session and, if in doubt, check that the person has correctly received and understood the instructions given. In case of prolonged absence, arrange a secondary point of contact (relative, neighbor) able to step in quickly if needed.
